Buddy Scheme
The School of Pharmacy operates an undergraduate peer mentoring or ‘buddy’ scheme which gives new students the opportunity to make friends, find your way about campus and get to grips with the pharmacy course by keeping in regular contact with a mentor who has already experienced first year. All new MPharm students will be assigned a buddy by the School and further information will be sent to you about your buddy and about the scheme by the School Office. The scheme is voluntary so you can decide if you want to participate and how you want to interact with your buddy but the majority of students do find the support and advice provided by a buddy to be very useful, especially in first year.
This year the buddy scheme will also be continued for students entering their second and third years. Once again participation is entirely voluntary and further information will be provided by the School Office before the start of the new academic year.
