BSc Pharmaceutical Studies

This BSc (Honours) in Pharmaceutical Studies degree is normally only available to those candidates who were enrolled for the MPharm degree in pharmacy and who failed, for whatever reason, to obtain the standard for award of the MPharm degree. To qualify for a BSc Honours in Pharmaceutical Studies, students must pass in at least 18 modules, of which a minimum of 6 modules must be at Level 3 or higher and an aggregate final mark of at least 40% with classification of honours being in accordance with the University Regulations for students first enrolled in 2012-13 and thereafter:
 
Stage 1 – 10%
Stage 2 – 30%
Stage 3 – 60%

The degree of BSc Honours in Pharmaceutical Studies is only awarded on the recommendation of the Board of Examiners. This degree is not accepted by the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland or the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) for the purposes of registration and practice as a pharmacist.
